This books contains some of the happy things in life: cats and ways of drawing cats as different animals or objects. The cover shows some examples from the book. The instructions begin really simple: how to draw the various lines that are needed for the cats (squiggly, straight, jagged, etc.), then continue onto color choices and pattern options. Step-by-step instructions teach the reader how to draw the different types of cats, then continues onto cat faces, cat dragons, sushi cats, cactus cats, and holiday cats, to name just a few categories. By the end, the reader will have become an artist and can display their artwork around the house or gift it to friends and family and so make the world a happier place!

I’m a fan of this book for several reasons, one being that it’s about cats, while another is the book’s simplicity in detailing each step to help people realize their artistic side when so many become frustrated too soon when it comes to art or drawing. My elementary-aged daughter and I practiced drawing our favorite animal and it was a success!
