I am always glad when a children’s book treats hard feelings like part of life instead of a problem to erase.
The Storm Cloud sounds like it may have that kind of emotional honesty, careful with young readers but not falsely cheerful for the adults reading aloud beside them.
Those are often the books I admire most. They make room for weather, then help you through it without pretending the sky was never dark.
